Spill Containment

Are these Spill Pallets forkliftable?
Yes, the P2 and P4 Ultra-Spill Pallets can be moved/lifted with a forklift or pallet jack. The 4-Drum model is forkliftable from all edges. The 2-drum model is forkliftable from either regarding the two much longer (53") edges.

Exactly why is here a ramp provided for the 4-drum pallet but not the 2-drum?
The P2 Spill Pallet is bigger (16.5") as compared to P4 Spill Pallet (11.75"). A ramp to reach that level would have to be relatively long in order to make a secure and efficient slope. The price in order to make such a large ramp is cost prohibitive. If you're contemplating a 2-drum pallet which has a ramp readily available, we suggest looking at the Spill Pallet Plus versions.

Why do these pallets have actually a 66-gallon capacity? I thought the requirement was for 55-gallons.
The EPA needs (40 CFR 264.175) do demand 55-gallons. Therefore the Ultra-Spill Pallets EXCEED those national demands. However, whenever these pallets had been introduced to your market, there clearly was another necessity in Uniform Fire Code. That requirement isn't any longer in place but needed a 66-gallon sump capability.

May I include a strain to my Spill Pallet after its been purchased/delivered?
Yes, there are two different ways that it can be achieved. Both are really easy to do and inexpensive. Please contact us to find out more.

I'm not sure easily should get a Spill Pallet with a drain or without. What can you recommend?
Great arguments is created for either choice so it is hard to offer one suggestion. Some users would like to have a drain to create clean-up easier. If a spill occurs, really drain plug may be unscrewed therefore the contents can drain away inside a proper container. Others think the drain connect is something that could be unscrewed (for cleansing or upkeep) then forgotten. Of course, that could alllow for an extremely ineffective spill containment pallet.

Easily don't have a drain, then how am We supposed to clean up after a spill?
We recommend using a pump just like the Bladder Pump (component# 2345) combined with our Spill Deck Bladder Systems. Click on this link to see videos from it doing his thing.

What number of pallets can be place in one stack for shipping? The other shipping information do I need to know?
The Ultra-Spill Pallet P4 may be piled up to eight (8) high. The Ultra-Spill Pallet P2 are stacked as much as six (6) extreme. Both are freight class 150 and NMFC 150390-4.
